The Tauranga Scrabble club meets every Tuesday morning from 8.50 until noon for three games of scrabble. There is a mix of competitive and casual games.
The club hold its annual nationally rated tournament in August. There is also the opportunity to compete in rated tournaments in other parts of New Zealand.
The club was founded by Mrs Noel Maisey in 1976 and is the longest running club in Australasia. It is also the largest club in New Zealand.
In 2016 it celebrated its Ruby Anniversary.
The club meets on Tuesday mornings at the Tauranga Bridge Club, 252 Ngatai Road, Otumoetai, Tauranga.
